Collective Reading and Synergy for the Month of January
Releasing, Shedding, and Connecting Into the New Year
Synergy
While I was sitting down to write, I was pondering on how I used to offer these readings each week in the recent past and how it brought me great comfort in doing so. It was a time when community was scarce within my own life and it felt great to connect within a virtual space.
This brought me to look back over this past year and observe how the community surrounding me now is something, for the first time in my life, I let organically flow.
Within the spaces that I create, I started creating things that match my vision within the visual and healing arts. Making meditations that vibrated with my frequency, and art that matched too. This sounds beautiful in theory, but it was also a hard year of growth within my realm.
This doing-things-for-myself mindset made me get to know my most authentic version and in this greeting of authenticity, I often found myself grasping tightly to old ways and these shifts often felt wrong. However, in time I realized this feeling of discomfort was an important part of growth.
Recently I found myself up at an ungodly hour, standing in the backyard of my house, waiting for my dog to finish their dog stuff. As I stood there in the cold, I heard a voice within telling me to look up. When I did, my eyes met a sky that is rare in my neck of the woods as the stars and moon are rarely visible. This night was different and it was so cold and clear that I gasped when I looked up. It almost felt like I was meant to be standing in my backyard at this time so I could be reminded of how small I am in the greatness of nature.
This time of the year is a time when one door closes and another opens as we flow into 2024. I was reminded of these thoughts during the time I spent standing in the backyard, looking up, and being humbled. How I am a small part of a bigger whole, and how amazing it is, that each person I interact with is sharing this time and space with me. How each person in my life is like a character in my life script, and how each person, down to a stranger I pass on the street, plays a crucial role.
With these thoughts, I am offered gratitude by those I am in touch with and I hope this reminds each of you, in this place of synergy, that you too are connected to others in this way. We all are. We gently weave the webs of the future, sew tight the times of the past, and tie the knots of the preset moment.
Let us all move into this year with gratitude for our connections, our lessons, and the boundaries we create within them.
Monthly Collective Reading for January
What to Let Go: Ace of Cups
This Ace is the first card in the element of water. Water is our emotions, our intuition, our deep set feelings, and our connection to the spiritual realms.
As the art on this card shows through the beams of light, we are connected to the above and the below and rooted deeply within each. The grail, representing the womb offers us a new beginning and rebirth, and the lily is a sign of peace.
In this placement of letting go, this card reminds us to release the expectations we have surrounding love, emotions, expression, inspiration, and spirituality. It helps us trust the process and that the people, things, and emotions flowing toward us may not make sense at the time, but we must trust that they are what is right for us.
What to Bring Forward: Ten of Swords | Ruin
Connected to the element of air, swords are our intellect, our thoughts, our ideas, and our frame of mind.
The ten of swords, being the last of the numerical swords is a cumulation of the complexities that these swords offer. In this placement of bringing forward, followed by the Ace of Cups, this card reminds us to bring all the parts of ourselves into this time and moment. The messy, the shameful, the shadows, and the parts we feel the need to hide. These parts, these things and moments that have left us shattered at times, are a crucial part of who we are today. Those that we allow to see these parts of those who accept us exactly as we are - as we each hold these shadows within.
It is a gentle reminder to love all the parts of your story, to see the parts of others when shown, and most importantly, to learn from these things so you can move into the future with the lessons offered.
Main Focus of the Month: The Emperor
I was so pleased to see this card when I laid the cards out. The Emperor is a strong leader, a warrior, and a person of action. He is a signal of change and change within a focused and determined mindset. He holds the scepter of masculinity in his right hand, and the orb of femininity in his left, offering us strong and balanced power when this card appears.
In the placement of the main focus of the month, this Emperor shows us a time for potential growth collectively. When projects and goals can start to flow with ease. It is a time of action and movement forward, protected by the Emperor’s power and balanced by the orb and specter he holds. A wonderful card for the focus of the month.
Actions to Take: Ten of Discs | Wealth
A card of abundance in the element of earth. Earth is our relationship to money, health, and all things in a grounding earthly manner.
Within this placement of action, this card shows us abundance in all areas of our lives. It offers us security, stability, and ease within many things on a collective level. It is a time when we can celebrate the riches in life as well. The riches of the friendships we have and the community we surround ourselves with.
These are the potions that replenish the heart most and nurture us in numerous ways.
Areas of Growth: Queen of Wands
Wands represent the fire element and are connected to our actions, will, drive, creativity, and spirit.
This Queen of Wands is a creative, woman who is alive with a charming and magnetic personality. She holds the watery and emotional part of the element of fire. This balance between her fire mannerisms with her emotional and watery traits makes her a woman of much demand.
In this area of growth, she reminds us to express our creativity and power.
She offers a time of going out, doing, and shining within your power and light. It is a time for all of us to grow from the lessons we learned throughout 2023 and to walk into January with balanced emotions and the fire of awareness.
Any Issues That May Arise: 6 of Discs | Success
Once again in this reading, the element of earth is offered, and this time it is combined with the energies of the number six which offers us beauty, connection to family, love, and harmony.
In this placement of issues, it connects us to our business interactions, our prosperity, our surroundings, beauty, health, and things we have in abundance.
With the theme of this reading being so strongly connected to our communities, the issues that arise seem to be with those we surround ourselves with. Issues may uproot feelings of negativity for some, but I see these as issues that may arise if we do not honor that we need to surround ourselves with the people and things that help us grow into the best versions of ourselves. This will lead us to the success this card offers.
New Year Blessings,
