Synergy
For those I have recently had the pleasure of reading for, those I have sat and spoken to, and even myself, the same question and theme seems to have emerged over the last month—a theme of instability toward the future. A theme and an urge to know what lies ahead. Understandably, it is human nature to look into the future during times of great uncertainty. This is when we seek foundation and we crave a firm answer that the future holds.
As the synergy flows within my mind, with this theme emerging, I am given the scene of a layover or pitstop. The in-between places where we haven’t arrived at our destination yet. Where we are tired and weary from traveling, where it makes no sense to turn around, where we surrender and accept the middle, the space in-between, and the moment right where we are for if we turn around, we go back to what was. Even if we want to go back to what was, we cannot, so we sit with this middle space and surrender to the uncertainty with the knowing that the future is never certain, but it is new, and it is guaranteed.
This is the human experience in its full. These moments of uncertainty. This is where we grow.
We are in majestic growth.
These pit stops, these layovers, and these moments of pause allow us to face the things we cannot see when we are moving too fast. The things that arise within our stillness.
These are the things that fertilize this growth.
Collective Reading for February
Personal Growth Offered: The World
The World closes cycles, it is a time to pause before we move forward. Following the Judgement card, a card of rebirth, we conclude the journey of the Fool.
In a position of personal growth, I see this placement as a reminder to let go of anything hindering your growth. Pruning your energetic tree and allowing the dead leaves to fall.
As the World is ruled by the planet Saturn, it shows that this personal growth took a great deal of time and effort. Therefore if you have been diligent and worked hard at something over the last year or even within this lifetime, your efforts will flow, if not, they will trickle, but growth is a guarantee as we are all constantly flowing forward.
Growth Offered Collectively: The Devil
The Devil holds the places where we feel chained and confined. The people, the things, and the habits that keep us stuck, and the things we feel enslaved to.
In a place of collective growth, this card shows us the power of illusion. Where this theme of feeling trapped is based on fear and control. The art on the card shows the lovers chained to this devil, but these chains are loose and they are free to remove them at any time. Therefore this card asks us to examine where we feel controlled and stuck and to allow ourselves to remove these illusions so truth growth can flow.
Collective Obstacles: The Magician
The power of this reading is reflected more with the arrival of this Magician in the placement of the obstacles. The Magician is our willpower being called. Where we have the power to connect the above, to the below — through ourselves. His table offers the wand of fire, the cup of water, the sword of air, and the pentacle of earth. He has all the tools he needs to get the job done and transmute all he needs.
Within this obstacle position, following the Devil, ask yourself where are you allowing the restrictions within your life to hinder your growth through fear and illusion.
The magician is offering you the tools you need to work through this stagnation.
Each of us is divinely powerful and can manifest all that we need. This magician reminds us of that power.
Lessons Offered: Temperance
The word Temperance comes from the Latin Temperare, which means to mix or blend. This is the Alchemist.
In the position of offered lessons, I see this as a time to take all the lessons learned within this lifetime and allow them to offer you growth. The harder times and the times of joy are all a huge part of the mixture that makes us who we are. If we were too pure, we would be too potent, the moments of lackluster help to tame a potent mixture.
Use all of your experiences to allow movement forward and growth. Trying to honor your shadows by offering them light. Honoring all the parts of yourself so things can flow with ease and harmony.
The Main Theme for February: Justice
Mental balance and harmony within our actions. Mirroring the laws of nature, we all nourish one another and grow. A card of ethics, associated with the Egyptian goddess Ma’at who held the original scales of truth. She balanced the heart of the dead against the weight of her ostrich feather to help determine whether a heart was filled with love or heavy with hatred.
Her feather is the truth.
Within this placement of the main theme for the month, this card reminds us to stay true, good-willed, and whole during the things that arise within February. Remembering this does not always mean staying kind and catering, but sometimes truth comes with a roar or a firmer stance.
Honor your truth, allowing your own heart to remain light so it can offer your blessings to each person you surround yourself with, shining truth and justice throughout.
This reading was done with Travis Lawrence’s Infinite Arcana Deck. I worked with this deck for its focus on the major arcana for I am currently studying the tarot through a 9-week class. This will offer greater growth, further depth, and deeper understanding within my readings with clients and readings offered here. As I progress past the major arcana at school, these readings will too.
